Government of Maharashtra’s State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has published the Common Provisional Merit List for BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses under Group B for NEET UG 2026.
The list contains candidate-wise merit details based on NEET All India Rank (AIR), NEET roll number and information submitted during registration. It also records category, gender, candidature type, specified reservations and remarks wherever applicable.
Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate AYUSH courses in Maharashtra should check the list carefully and review the eligibility conditions mentioned by the CET Cell.
Courses Covered in the Merit List
The provisional merit list covers three undergraduate AYUSH programmes:
- BAMS: Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery
- BHMS: Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery
- BUMS: Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery
The document is titled Common Provisional Merit List for BAMS/BHMS/BUMS Courses (Group B) of NEET-UG-2026, dated October 20, 2026.
Details Available in the Merit List
The list includes several fields to help candidates identify their merit position and registration details. These include:
- Serial number
- NEET All India Rank
- NEET roll number
- CET Cell online form number
- Candidate name
- Gender
- Category
- NRI status, where applicable
- Specified reservation details
- Candidature type, such as State or OMS
- Remarks related to eligibility, where applicable
Candidates should match their NEET roll number and CET Cell application number along with their name to avoid confusion with another candidate.
Merit List Is Provisional
The CET Cell has clarified that the merit list is based on information provided by candidates in their registration forms and the electronic verification of uploaded documents.
Publication of the provisional merit list does not itself confirm admission to a college. Admission will take place only after the admitting college verifies the candidate’s original certificates.
Candidates should therefore treat the document as a provisional merit and eligibility record, not as a final seat allotment list.
Reservation and Eligibility Conditions
The notice contains important conditions relating to reservation and eligibility:
- Category and reservation benefits: Constitutional and specified reservation benefits are subject to submission and verification of the required documents.
- NRI candidates: NRI status is subject to approval from the Authority for Admission Regulation (ARA), as stated in the document.
- Persons with Disabilities (PWD): Eligibility is subject to assessment by the Medical Board.
- Course-wise eligibility: Eligibility for admission to health science courses is governed by the NEET UG 2026 Information Brochure.
Candidates claiming reservation or any specified benefit should ensure that the supporting certificates are valid and available for verification at the admitting college.
Important Eligibility Remarks in the List
The document also contains remarks identifying certain candidates as not eligible for specific reasons. For example, the final page includes entries marked “Invalid Domicile Not Eligible” and “Invalid NCL Not Eligible.”
Such remarks should be read carefully by the concerned candidates. If a candidate’s entry contains an eligibility-related remark, the candidate should refer to the official counselling instructions and the relevant authority for clarification.
The merit list also includes candidature types such as State and OMS. Candidates should check the candidature type recorded against their own details.
What Should Candidates Do Next?
Candidates participating in Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 counselling for BAMS, BHMS or BUMS should:
- Open the official provisional merit list.
- Search for their name, NEET roll number or CET Cell form number.
- Verify their NEET All India Rank, category and candidature type.
- Carefully read any remarks or specified reservation entries.
- Keep the original certificates and supporting documents ready for verification.
- Follow subsequent official counselling notices for the next stage, seat allotment and admission-related instructions.
Candidates should not assume that a provisional merit position guarantees a seat. Final admission remains subject to the applicable eligibility requirements and verification of original documents.
