Assam AYUSH Counselling will be conducted by the Government of Assam Health & Family Welfare Directorate of Ayush, and counselling is expected to start from the First Week of September 2025 (Tentative). Assam AYUSH Counselling is conducted for admission in BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS & BNYS courses and admission is solely based on NEET Exam rank. The curriculum for these AYUSH courses aligns with the standards set by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), ensuring a complete education in traditional medical systems. This year NEET Exam will be held on 4th May 2025 by the National Testing Agency (NTA), and results will be declared on 14th June 2025. Candidates who appeared in NEET exam will be eligible to participate in Assam AYUSH Counselling.

As per the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), there are 01 BAMS Colleges with 50 seats, 3 BHMS Colleges with 189 seats in Assam.
