How to Apply for Himachal Pradesh AYUSH Counselling 2025

The admission counselling for BAMS/BHMS courses in Himachal Pradesh will be done online by a centralised counselling process. For the 85% State Quota seats in Rajiv Gandhi Government Post-graduate Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Paprola (District Kangra), the counselling will be handled by the Atal Medical & Research University (AMRU). The remaining 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats of the same college will be completed by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India’s authority authority-appointed person. But all seats in private colleges, State Quota as well as All India Quota, will be completed by AMRU through centralised counselling by a committee formed by the Director, AYUSH, Himachal Pradesh.

• The online counselling system will be used for provisional seat allocation, based on the candidates’ merit, course preferences, college choices, and selected quota as mentioned in their online admission forms submitted within the specified deadline on the University website (www.amruhp.ac.in).
• The admission process for both government and private Ayurvedic and Homeopathy colleges (under both quotas) will be completed via online allotment through the Centralised Counselling Committee formed by the Director of AYUSH, Himachal Pradesh. This committee includes the Principals of Ayurvedic and Homoeopathy colleges, University representatives, and a nominee of the Director of AYUSH.
• After the provisional allotment of seats in the first or later rounds, candidates can obtain their admission letters from the University website and appear at the specified college. Candidates have to bring original documents, a printout of their finalised online application, and self-attested photocopies to be verified by the Admission Committee of the respective college.
• The admission will be confirmed only after document verification, fee payment, and satisfactory completion of the eligibility criteria, such as medical fitness. Failure to do this within the given time limit will result in automatic cancellation of the seat with immediate effect, and the seat will be considered vacant for the subsequent counselling session. Penalties as per the prospectus can also be levied.
• It is important to note that merely submitting the online application form and fee based on NEET-UG 2025 does not guarantee admission. Admission will be strictly subject to merit and fulfilment of eligibility conditions as determined by the Admission Committee according to the prospectus.
• After the first round of counselling, a second round will be conducted as per schedule, and a fresh counselling form will be available on the University website.
• Candidates must log in and fill out new preferences for course, college, and quota within the given period for provisional seat allocation. Only those listed in the AMRU merit list are eligible to participate. Those satisfied with their first-round allocation need not participate further. Seat upgradation or shifting will be allowed in this round, and allocation will be made category-wise.
• As per AYUSH guidelines, candidates newly allotted seats in the second or subsequent rounds must deposit a security token fee of Rs. 25,000 during choice filling. Failure to do so will result in disqualification from seat allocation. However, candidates already admitted in the first round are exempt from this payment. If an allotted candidate fails to join the course, the token amount will be forfeited. If a seat is not allocated, the amount will be refunded to the same account used for payment. AMRU may require candidates to fill out a refund claim form in case of failed refunds.
• The third round of counselling will also be conducted as scheduled. Registered candidates need not register again but must submit fresh preferences.
• Shifting/upgradation will be allowed. Candidates admitted in the first or second round are not required to pay the token fee again. Candidates can choose colleges/courses not listed in the vacancy list since seats may open up due to shifting.
• If no upgradation occurs for a candidate already admitted in round two, they may retain their previously allotted seat. Any unfilled reserved category seats will be converted to unreserved and allotted on open merit.

Himachal Pradesh AYUSH Counselling Stray Vacancy Round 2025

After the first three rounds, a Stray Vacancy Round will be announced by the University. Candidates who are not admitted to the government college but are eligible can participate. Unregistered candidates also have the option to apply at this round. Fresh and earlier admitted candidates of private colleges will need to re-submit their new preferences and the respective token amount. There can be no shifting among private colleges in the stray round. Private to government college shifting on a merit and preference basis is permissible. Private college AIQ to State Quota shifting on a merit basis is also permitted. Any remaining category seats at the end of the third round will be made unreserved and filled accordingly.

This can only be done up to one day before the vacancy list is released for the Stray Round. After that deadline, surrendering your seat will not be allowed, and you’ll also become ineligible to participate in any further rounds of counselling.

If you’re allotted a seat in the second or subsequent rounds and decide not to join the college, or you surrender the seat for any reason after the deadline, the token fee gets forfeited. This also applies if your admission gets cancelled due to providing incorrect information during registration or failing to produce required documents at the time of admission.

Candidates who get upgraded or reallocated in later rounds, either through Himachal Pradesh State AYUSH counselling or the All India counselling (conducted by AACCC) he/she are eligible for a refund, but only if the seat is surrendered before the Stray Round vacancy list is displayed. In such cases, your token fee, the college fee, and even the campus maintenance fund will be refunded, but only to the account from which the original payment was made.
