Puducherry AYUSH Counselling will be conducted by the Centralised Admission Committee Government of Puducherry and counselling is expected to start from June 2025. Puducherry AYUSH Counselling is conducted for admission in BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS & BNYS courses and admission is solely based on NEET Exam rank. The curriculum for these AYUSH courses aligns with the standards set by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), ensuring a complete education in traditional medical systems.  Candidates who appeared in the NEET exam will be eligible to participate in the Puducherry AYUSH Counselling.

As per the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) there are 01 BAMS Colleges with 63 seats in Puducherry. Counselling for these colleges starts with the candidate’s registration on the counselling conducting authority’s official website www.centacpuducherry.in. Centralised Admission Committee The Government of Puducherry conducts counselling for 85% of seats in government & private AYUSH colleges in Puducherry under State Quota. Counselling for the remaining 15% of seats in government & private colleges will be conducted by the AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) under All India Quota (AIQ).

Puducherry AYUSH Counselling 2025 Eligibility Criteria

CriteriaDescription
Age RequirementApplicants must be at least 17 years old by the time of admission or will turn 17 by December 31 of the year of admission to the first-year Undergraduate Medical Course. The maximum age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years on the exam date, with 5-year age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates and PwD candidates.
NationalityOnly Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible. OCI candidates who wish to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses abroad must also clear the NEET (UG) exam.

Course RequirementFor admission to the B.A.M.S. program, candidates must have individually passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Additionally, a minimum combined score is required: 50% for General, 45% for OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/OPH (General & OBC), and 40% for SC/ST/BT&OPH. Puducherry AYUSH Counselling 2025 Registration Process – State Quota

Step 1: Online Registration

  • Candidates register online through the official counselling website at (www.centacpuducherry.in) by providing personal details, educational qualifications, and other necessary information.

Step 2: Choice Filling

  • After registration, candidates fill in their preferred choices of AYUSH courses and colleges/institutions based on their eligibility and interest.

Step 3: Document Verification

  • Candidates attend the document verification process as per the scheduled date and time. They submit the required documents for verification, including academic certificates, identity proof, domicile certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), and other relevant documents.

Step 4: Merit List Publication

  • Once the document verification process is completed, a merit list is prepared based on candidates’ preferences and merit in the qualifying examination and entrance test (if applicable). The merit list is published on the official website, displaying the rank secured by each candidate.

Step 5: Seat Allotment

  • Seats are allotted to candidates based on their rank in the merit list, choices filled, and availability of seats. The seat allotment process is conducted online. Candidates can check their allotment status and download the provisional allotment letter from the official website.

Step 6: Reporting to Allotted College

  • Candidates who are allotted seats need to physically report to the respective allotted college within the specified time frame. They complete the admission formalities, pay the admission fees, and submit the required documents for verification.

Stray Vacancy Round for AIQG/AIQGA/CU/NIAll registered candidates who have not been admitted to any of the seats through AACCC-UG counselling or counselling conducted by State/UTs are eligible for the Stray Vacancy Round.There is no Fresh Registration in the Stray Vacancy Round. Candidates must submit willingness in the AACCC-UG portal to participate in the Stray Vacancy Round with an undertaking that they are not holding any UG (ASU&H) seats allotted through AACCC-UG counselling or counselling conducted by State/UTs.Option for choice filling is available in the Stray Vacancy Round.4. Stray Vacancy Round for Deemed UniversityAll registered candidates who have not been admitted to any of the seats through AACCC-UG counselling or counselling conducted by State/UTs are eligible for Stray Vacancy Round.AACCC, M/o Ayush will send a list of eligible registered candidates to Deemed Universities, which is to be exercised strictly in order of merit in the Stray Vacancy Round. The seats are domicile-free, and only registered candidates of AACCC-UG counselling are eligible for admission.3. A List of ineligible candidates will be circulated to concerned State/UT counselling authorities, National Institutes/Central Universities/Deemed Universities to prohibit them from participating in any other AYUSH counselling (Central/State/UT/Nominated seat, etc.).

Note: It is mandatory for all candidates to take admission on their upgraded seats in the 3rd Round from Round 1 & 2 admitted seats. Such candidates, if not joined in the upgraded seats, are ineligible for any further AYUSH counselling (Central/State/UT/Central Pool Quota) and their security money will be forfeited.

Refundable Security Fee

The refundable security fee will be refunded to candidates after joining the allotted college within the stipulated time mentioned in the schedule. If a candidate does not get a seat during all rounds of counselling, the security fee will be refunded to the bank account provided by the candidate at the time of registration for AACCC counselling.
