Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling will be conducted by Uttarakhand Ayurved University, Dehradun and counselling is expected to start from the 2nd week of Sept 2025. Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling is conducted for admission in BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS &  BNYS courses and admission is solely based on NEET Exam rank. The curriculum for these AYUSH courses aligns with the standards set by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), ensuring a complete education in traditional medical systems.  This year NEET Exam will be held on 4th May 2025 by the National Testing Agency (NTA), and results will be declared on 14th June 2025. Candidates who appeared in the NEET exam will be eligible to participate in Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling.

As per the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), there are 16 BAMS Colleges with 1035 seats, 2 BHMS Colleges with 100 seats and 1 BUMS College with 60 seats in Uttarakhand. Counselling for these colleges starts with the candidate’s registration on the counselling conducting authority’s official website https://www.uau.ac.in/.Uttarakhand Ayurved University conducts counselling for 85% seats in government & private AYUSH colleges in Uttarakhand under the State Quota. Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling Registration Process 2025 is the first and most important step for candidates seeking admission to BAMS, BHMS, BUMS courses in AYUSH colleges in the state. Below are the steps of counselling registration

  • Go to uau.ac.in website and click on UAUC COUNSELLING UG-PG Online Portal 2025-26
  • Now, Click on Registration/Login UG 2025-26 Button & Select Course – Under Graduate
  • After selecting the course, fill all the fields – NEET Roll Number, NEET Application Number, Contact Number, Email Address and then click on Validate Registration Form – 3
  • After clicking on Validate, the OTP sent pop-up will appear, and then click on the ‘OK’ button
  • After clicking on OK, the OTP Textbox and enter your OTP has been sent to your Mobile number, then click on the submit button
  • After submitting the OTP than select – Select Quota
  • After filling in all the mandatory fields, you will need to select the 10th and 12th passing state and 12th PCB percentage. Your eligibility will be checked based on that information.
  • After clicking on “Validate, ” you will see a pop-up that will inform you whether you are eligible or not. Later, you will need to click the “OK” button in the pop-up.
  • After clicking “OK,” a new form will open where you need to provide all the mandatory fields and attachments related to the 10th and 12th certificates. Additionally, you will

How to Apply for Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling 2025?

Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling 2025 state quota admission procedure includes different steps which ensure that only the eligible candidates get admitted into the AYUSH colleges. Given below is an elaborated process:

General Instructions for Eligible Candidates

  • Registration Requirement: All NEET 2025 qualified eligible candidates must register to participate in counselling. Candidates who miss the 1st round can still register for the 2nd and 3rd/Mop-Up rounds by paying the required fee.
  • Eligibility: Only registered candidates can participate in a particular round of counselling.
  • Mandatory details include NEET 2025 Roll Number, NEET application number, and valid mobile number.
  • Counselling Rounds: Registration is available for each round as per the schedule. Candidates must register/upgrade and fill their choices for each round. Spot registration is not allowed.
  • Reporting and Seat Allotment: If a candidate does not report to the allotted college in the 1st round, they can participate in the 2nd round but cannot claim the previous seat. If admitted in the 2nd round and wants to resign, they must apply through the college Principal and report to the counselling board before the 3rd/Mop-Up round.
  • Upgradation and Choice Filling: Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 can opt for upgradation in Round 2. Choices should be filled carefully as they cannot be altered once allotment is done. Fresh choices must be filled for each round.

Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling Rounds

First Round:

  • Registration: Online registration and payment of the required fee.
  • Choice Filling: Fill choices based on preference and eligibility.
  • Allotment Letter: Available online; produce at the time of admission.
  • Admission: Secure admission before the last date, or the admission stands canceled.
  • Upgradation: Option to participate in the second round for upgradation.
  • Security Fee: Deposit of Rs. 15,000 refundable after the last round if admission is taken.

Second Round:

Eligibility:

  • Group-I: Registered candidates not allotted seats in Round 1.

  • Group-IV: New registrants.

Registration: New/Fresh registration and choice filling; already registered candidates opting for upgradation do not pay the fee again.

Resign/Surrender: Apply through the college principal before Mop-Up round.

Admission: Secure admission before the last date or the admission stands canceled.

Security Fee: Same rules as the first round for fee forfeiture.

IIIrd/Mop-Up Round:

Eligibility:

  • New registrants.
  • Candidates registered but not allotted seats in Rounds 1 and 2.
  • Candidates except those admitted in Rounds 1 and 2.
  • Candidates who resigned/surrendered seats after admission and applied through the college principal.
  • Registration: Online registration to become eligible.
  • Counselling Venue: Candidates must be present in-person with required documents.
  • Security Fee: Deposit of Rs. 15,000 refundable after the last round if admission is taken.
  • Non-Joining: Same forfeiture rules as previous rounds.

Admission Procedure

  • Report to Allotted College: Candidates must report personally to the allotted college office with the required documents.
  • Complete Formalities: Complete the admission process as mentioned in the allotment letter.
  • Admission Letter: Admission is finalized once the candidate receives the admission letter from the college.

Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling Choice Filling 2025

Candidates must ensure that after successfully registering at the official website https://www.uau.ac.in/, they need to take part in the choice filling on or before the scheduled dates. Only NEET UG 2025 qualified and registered candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling and choice filling process. Registration is mandatory for each round of counselling, as per the official schedule.

Previous round choices are not carried forward. You must fill in fresh choices in every round to stay eligible. Arrange your choices in the exact order of your preference. You cannot register at the college directly. All registrations must be done online as per the schedule. Fill in choices according to your quota eligibility. If you’re not interested in a specific quota/college/course, do not select it.

Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling Choice Locking 2025

Filling up the choices is the last step for submission; candidates are required to lock their choices. In the event that a candidate fails to lock the choices it will be considered as the candidate does not wish to take part in the process of attending the counselling. 

It is advised that the options selected are reviewed from every aspect and are very carefully prepared and selected so that there is no need for changes later.  The system will show the Agree/Disagree button; the candidates selected will have to click Agree in order to confirm locking.  If choices are not locked, the candidate will not be considered for seat allotment and will not be allotted to any college.

Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling Seat Allotment 2025

The seat allotment process for Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling 2025 is carried out by the Uttarakhand Ayurved University through an online centralised counselling system. Candidates who are allotted seats based on their NEET (UG) 2025 rank, reservation eligibility, and the preferences filled during choice entry. If a candidate is eligible for more than one subcategory, the seat will be allotted in order of decreasing percentage of reservation.

In each round of counselling, First, Second, and Mop-up—seat allotment is strictly governed by merit and fresh choices submitted by the candidates. Candidates must fill in new choices for each round to remain eligible for seat allotment in that particular round. Failure to register or update choices for any round renders the candidate ineligible for seat allotment in that round. Once a seat is allotted, he/she must report to the seat allotted college within the specified timeline, or else, the seat is forfeited and cannot be claimed in later rounds.

For the second round, eligibility extends to all those who did not get a seat in Round 1, those seeking upgradation after joining their Round 1 seat, and fresh registrants. Candidates allotted an upgraded seat in Round 2 will have their earlier allotment cancelled automatically. In every round, if a candidate fails to report or join the allotted seat, or if the seat is later cancelled due to incorrect information or incomplete documentation, the Rs. 15,000 security deposit will be forfeited.

During the Mop-up Round, seat allotment is done in-person at a designated venue. Candidates must carry all required original documents and be present at the scheduled time and date. No travel allowance or reimbursement will be going to provided for attending the counseling in person. Similar to earlier rounds, failure to join the allotted seat in this round will also result in forfeiture of the security deposit.

For candidates allotted seats in University Campus Colleges (Main Campus, Rishikul, and Gurukul), a refund of the fees (after deduction of Rs. 5,000 and actual service charges like hostel/mess fees) is permitted only if the candidate informs the Registrar through the college Principal before the next round of registration. This applies to both the First and Second Rounds, with different deadlines for notification based on the counselling round.

Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling Stray Vacancy Round 2025

Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling Stray Vacancy Round is conducted by Uttarakhand Ayurved University (UAU) to provide admission against vacant seats remaining in BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS courses after mop-up round completion. This round will going to be the last chance for those eligible candidates to get admitted into AYUSH colleges in the state.

Seat allotment during the Stray Vacancy Round takes place on the merit of the candidate and seat availability. After a seat is allotted, candidates are required to pay the security deposit amount (Rs. 15,000) to ensure that they get admitted. Failure of the candidate to join the allotted college or submit the requisite documents within the due time will lead to the loss of the security deposit and the cancellation of the allotted seat.

Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling Seat Surrender Process

Candidates participating in the Uttarakhand AYUSH UG Counselling 2025 who wish to surrender their allotted seats must adhere to the official procedures established by the Uttarakhand Ayurved University (UAU). This process is applicable to those who have secured seats in Round 1 or Round 2 and intend to withdraw before the commencement of the Mop-Up Round. Candidates who surrender their seats after the stipulated period (i.e., after the commencement of Mop-Up Round registration) will not be eligible for further AYUSH counselling conducted by Central/State/UT authorities.

The security deposit of Rs. 15,000 will be forfeited if a candidate fails to join the allotted seat or if the seat is cancelled due to reasons attributable to the candidate, such as providing incorrect information during registration or failing to produce required documents at the time of admission.

For candidates who surrender their seats in University Campus Colleges (Main Campus, Rishikul Campus, and Gurukul Campus), a deduction of Rs. 5,000 as administrative charges, along with charges for services availed (e.g., hostel, mess), will going to be applied. If a he/she leaves the college after admission, the refund will going to be processed based on the duration of stay and services utilized, with specific deductions as per university guidelines.

Steps for Seat Surrender

  • Submission of Resignation: He/She must submit a formal resignation application through the Principal of their allotted college to the Registrar of UAU, Dehradun. This application should be submitted before the registration for the Mop-Up Round begins.​
  • In-Person Reporting: After submitting the resignation, he/she are required to appear in person before the counselling board at the designated venue, as per the schedule, to complete the surrender process.​
  • No Claim on Resigned Seat: Once the seat is surrendered, he/she forfeits any claim to that seat and cannot seek reallocation in any of the subsequent rounds.

Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling For Other State Students

Other state candidates can also apply for BAMS, BHMS, and BUMS courses through Uttarakhand AYUSH Counselling 2025 if they fulfil the eligibility criteria. In particular, non-domicile candidates who have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from recognised educational institutions are eligible to take part in the counselling process. Yet, these candidates will be treated under the general category and won’t be entitled to any reservation based on the state.

All the applicants, either domiciled or non-domiciled, should have passed the NEET-UG 2025 exam and possess the minimum qualifying requirements, such as age and educational qualifications, as prescribed by the counselling authority.
