Eligible candidates who have qualified UGNEET-2026, are interested in AYUSH courses and have already registered and completed document verification can participate in the option-entry process.

KEA AYUSH 2026 Option Entry Schedule

According to the notice, candidates can enter their course and college preferences in order of priority during the following period:

ActivityDate & Time
Entry of Options in Order of Priority7 October 2026, 2:00 PM onwards
Last Date for Option Entry12 October 2026, up to 11:00 AM

Candidates have been advised to begin entering their options only after confirming the colleges and understanding the applicable fee structure for different types of seats.

Important Instructions for Candidates Already Admitted to a College

Candidates who are already admitted to colleges have also been permitted to participate in this round only if they are interested in AYUSH courses.

However, before participating, such candidates must confirm that they can obtain their original documents from their present college within the stipulated time.

If a candidate is allotted an AYUSH seat and does not join it for any reason, the seat allotted in the present round will be cancelled automatically, and the candidate will not get back the old seat. The notice states that such candidates will have to compulsorily join the allotted college.

Candidates Must Arrange Original Documents

KEA has placed the responsibility of obtaining original documents from the candidate’s present college on the candidate themselves.

Therefore, candidates who are currently studying in another college and wish to participate in AYUSH counselling should ensure that their original documents can be obtained in time for admission to the newly allotted college.

Fees Paid for Other Courses Will Not Be Adjusted

The notice clearly states that fees already paid by candidates for other courses will not be adjusted towards an AYUSH seat.

Candidates who select an AYUSH seat will therefore have to pay the applicable fees for the AYUSH course as prescribed.

Candidates Already Holding Medical Seats

An important eligibility condition has also been mentioned in the notice.

Candidates who have joined Medical Colleges and candidates who have been allotted medical seats in the 3rd round are not eligible to participate in this AYUSH round.

What Happens If a Candidate Gets an AYUSH Seat?

Candidates who are currently admitted to a college and participate in the AYUSH counselling process should carefully consider their choices.

If a candidate selects and gets an AYUSH seat, the seat held by the candidate will be cancelled automatically upon selection of a seat in the present round.

Candidates who are allotted a seat must report to the allotted college within the prescribed deadline. If a candidate fails to report to the allotted college within the prescribed time, they will not have any seat in their favour and both the seats and fee will be lost without refund, as stated in the notice.
