Candidates Can Enter Multiple Options
The notification allows candidates to exercise any number of options for the course and colleges in which they are interested in joining. Candidates have been advised to carefully exercise their preferences and take a printout of the saved options after submission.
The university has also advised candidates to check the area-wise seat matrix displayed on its website before exercising their web options.
University Fee of Rs.8,600
Candidates who are allotted a seat have to pay a University fee of ₹8,600 through the payment gateway to obtain the allotment letter. The payment can be made through Debit Card, Credit Card or Internet Banking.
The tuition fee will be payable separately by selected candidates as fixed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2026-27.
Seat Allotment Process
The seat allotment will be carried out according to the procedure prescribed under the relevant Andhra Pradesh Government Orders and regulations mentioned in the NTRUHS notification.
The notification also provides instructions regarding allotment under special categories. Seats reserved under CAP, NCC and PwBD categories will be filled when the respective prioritized merit lists are received from the concerned authorities.
The notification further states that unallotted seats under special categories will be added to the respective categories, as these are treated as horizontal reservations.
What Candidates Need to Do After Allotment
Candidates who receive a seat will be informed through their registered mobile number after the allotment. They will have to download the allotment order from the NTRUHS AYUSH admission portal. Candidates allotted a seat are required to report to the allotted college within the specified reporting schedule after downloading the allotment order and paying the Rs.8,600 University fee. At the time of admission, candidates must:
- Download and print the allotment letter.
- Report to the allotted college within the specified deadline.
- Carry all original certificates.
- Pay the applicable tuition fee.
- Complete the admission process at the allotted college.
The original certificates will be verified at the college of admission. If any discrepancy is found during verification, the provisional allotment may be cancelled and further action will be taken according to university regulations.
What Happens If a Candidate Is Not Allotted a Seat?
Candidates who are not allotted any seat in Phase-I will be considered for available vacancies in Phase-II counselling, subject to exercising fresh options. The next phase will consider:
- Unfilled seats from Phase-I
- Seats of candidates who did not report in Phase-I
The notification specifically states that fresh options will be required for the next phase.
Candidates Who Do Not Report
Candidates allotted a seat in Phase-I must report within the prescribed schedule.
If a candidate does not report at the allotted college, the candidate may be allowed to participate in Phase-II counselling with fresh options, subject to the conditions specified by the university.
If a Phase-I candidate joins another college during Phase-II, the original certificates will be transferred to the newly allotted college by the previous institution after closure of admissions. The candidate will then have to report to the newly allotted college with the downloaded allotment order and Custodian Certificate, as applicable.
Candidates upgraded during Phase-II will not have a claim over their previous Phase-I allotment. The Phase-I seat resulting from upgradation will be filled with the next eligible candidate according to the applicable merit and reservation rules.
BUMS Admission Eligibility
The notification separately provides eligibility requirements for admission to the Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S.) course.
Candidates seeking admission to the Kamil-E-Tib-Wa-Jarahat (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery – BUMS) course must fulfil the prescribed National Commission for Indian System of Medicine regulations.
Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and must secure the minimum qualifying percentile in NEET-UG 2025 as referred to in the notification.
